EDMOND, Oklahoma -

Area school district administrators will be out on the roads very early Wednesday morning, but they will be out as much to check the temperature as anything else.

Falling temperatures will not only re-freeze the roads, Edmond School District Spokesperson Susan Parks-Schlepp said they can cause a major hazard for children in the morning if there is school.

"If buses are late, then they are standing at the bus stop for longer than we'd like," said Parks-Schlepp. "Then it's dangerous, and we're well aware of that."

Parks-Schlepp said Edmond will announce whether or not they will have school by 5:15 a.m. Wednesday morning.

Putnam City Spokesman Steve Lindley said they will know before 6:30 a.m.
