TULSA, Oklahoma -

Bitterly cold temperatures will continue Friday across eastern Oklahoma, but it is expected to warm up this weekend.

The National Weather Service says northeast Oklahoma saw snow totals of one to two inches Thursday.

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory from noon until 10 p.m. Friday for Haskell, Latimer, LeFlore, Pittsburg and Sequoyah counties.

News On 6 meteorologist Alan Crone says there is a slight chance for additional snowfall Friday as another storm system slides across the state. Most of the new snow should fall in southeastern Oklahoma.

He says the weekend will provide a break with temperatures moving into the upper 30s and lower 40s. But Crone says the warmth will be short-lived as another storm system will enter Oklahoma Sunday evening bringing increasing chances of more snow for eastern Oklahoma.
