Part Of Sooner Road In Norman Back Open Following Wreck

NORMAN, Oklahoma -

Emergency crews reopened a portion of Sooner Road in Norman Wednesday morning after they cleared the scene of an accident.

According to the Oklahoma Department of Transportation, at about 8:30 a.m., Sooner Road (SH 77H) was closed between Franklin Road and Indian Hills Road in Norman.

Emergency crews responded to a 3-vehicle collision in the area. One vehicle was sideswiped, and the other two hit head-on.

Crews cleared the roadways just before 11 a.m..

A News 9 viewer reported that traffic was backed up in the area. Drivers were urged to find an alternate route and could consider using I-35 around the area.
