It was another cold morning across the state as temperatures fell into the single digits in northwestern Oklahoma, where snow was still on the ground. The rest of the state saw a healthy mix of teens and 20s with a few 30s as well.

Afternoon highs, despite a northerly wind shift Wednesday morning, still managed to make it into the 40s and 50s. That warming trend will continue for the last two work days this week before widespread 60s arrive this weekend.

Highs on Thursday will trend a little warmer, with a healthy southwest wind and plenty of sunshine. What snow is left in northwest Oklahoma will affect high temperatures there as well. High temperatures on Friday, despite another weak front moving in, will still hold right around normal, which is 54.

Once the weekend arrives, we'll be talking about afternoon highs in the mid-60s and looking ahead into next week when highs may reach the 70s. We're actively looking west for our next storm system and, right now, the end of next week is our best bet. As always, stay tuned!
