Strong seismic activity continues in central Oklahoma, as another earthquake rumbled near Guthrie, Saturday evening.

Strong seismic activity continues in central Oklahoma, as another earthquake rumbled near Guthrie, Saturday evening.

This most recent earthquake was the sixth and the largest of the recent outbreak, weighing in at 3.5 on the Richter scale. It struck around 7:50 p.m., six miles south of Guthrie, or about 21 miles north of the OKC metro, at a depth of just over two miles.

As with the other earthquakes in the area, several News 9 viewers reported feeling tremors in their various locations.

Five other temblors were recorded on Friday, all in between the cities of Edmond and Guthrie. Those quakes ranged from 2.7 and 3.1 in magnitude.

There has been no official word of damage or injuries related to any of the earthquakes.

According to the United States Geological Survey (USGS), earthquakes with magnitudes ranging from 2.5 to 3.0 are generally the smallest ones felt by humans.
