Suspect Arrested After Running From OK Courthouse During Hearing

Deputies captured a suspect who ran from the Oklahoma County Courthouse during a hearing after he learned he was going to be arrested for an outstanding warrant.

Deputies captured a suspect who ran from the Oklahoma County Courthouse during a hearing after he learned he was going to be arrested for an outstanding warrant.

According to the Oklahoma County Sheriff's office, 30-year-old David Knight was out of custody and inside a courtroom for a hearing, when he was told that he was going to be arrested for an outstanding warrant for possession of controlled dangerous substance.

Knight reportedly ran from the courtroom and made his way to an elevator. He got out on the first floor and ran outside. Deputies saw Knight and took him into custody at the corner of Robert S. Kerr and N. Hudson.

According to the Sheriff's office, one deputy injured his shoulder while taking Knight into custody.

Knight will be booked into the Oklahoma County Jail for his outstanding warrant.
