Earthquakes continue to rattle central Oklahoma. Residents in Guthrie are now considering earthquake insurance and wondering what is causing the extra movement.

The earthquakes are becoming a new, unwelcome normal for some families in northern Oklahoma County and southern Logan County. Rachel O'Donnell and her young daughter feel about seven to eight shakes a day in their Guthrie home. The stress on the O'Donnell house is visible with small cracks in bricks.

"Some tools … on a workbench had fallen off," O'Donnell said.

Assistant geology professor Daniel Lao Davila with Oklahoma State University says no one really knows the cause of the recent earthquakes in the Guthrie area. Davila says studies have found relationships with injected fluid and earthquakes in Colorado, Texas, Germany and Prague, Oklahoma. However, it's too early to know what's causing the Guthrie rumbles.

"A few years ago, I thought it was just kind of funny, but now I'm more worried about windows breaking or something like that," O'Donnell said.
