TULSA COUNTY, Oklahoma -

For the second time in the past week the Oklahoma Department of Transportation was called out to repair a small hole discovered in the Highway 11 bridge decking over Hominy Creek.

ODOT said in a news release, a hole measuring a few inches in diameter was discovered in the deck Monday morning and traffic over the bridge was reduced while workers patched it.

Last week, crews repaired another small hole in the bridge and in mid-December 2013 crews patched yet another hole in the 405-foot long bridge north of Sperry.

ODOT says the aging bridge is scheduled to be replaced in 2017.

The agency has also put the bridge structure up for adoption. ODOT says the K-through-truss type bridge will be given, at no cost, to anyone willing to relocate the structure and maintain it.
