The Thunder will be without starting center Kendrick Perkins for the next six weeks after he underwent a procedure on his left groin the team announced today.

The team press release said the injury occurred during the third quarter of the Feb. 20 game versus the Miami Heat. Perkins has played in 54 games (all starts) this season averaging 3.4 points, 5.0 rebounds and 1.1 assists in 19.7 minutes per contest.

Perkins is expected to miss approximately six weeks which would set his return around the second week of April. If out exactly six weeks, Perkins will have five regular season games left on the schedule when he returns.

Steven Adams replaced Perkins in the starting lineup in the Thunder's last game and is expected to continue in that role.
