OKLAHOMA CITY -

We now know the trucking company responsible for a tanker truck that leaked hundreds of gallons of liquid sugar onto I-44 during rush hour early Wednesday.

CEI Trucking out of Neosho was hauling a huge tank of what it calls "sugar water" to the Braum's Distribution Center in Tuttle. The tank sprung a leak, and left a liquid trail that stretched at least 15 miles on Westbound I-44 through Oklahoma City.

Chris Singley says he was driving his yellow cab right behind that tanker truck, and got seriously hosed down. He says he's been to a car wash, and it did little to get the substance off of his yellow cab minivan.

"It's stuck everywhere. I mean it's just a major mess. It's frustrating. I mean it's on the engine. It's underneath the car. It's to the point now, just from the heat, when I drive the car it smells like burnt marshmallows," he said.

News 9 was with Singley in Blanchard Thursday, when he called CEI Trucking. A manager told Chris to get his vehicle cleaned, and send CEI's insurance company the bill.

On Wednesday, a Braum's Spokesperson tells told News 9 they "they didn't know" who the trucking company was. Chris Singley says it took him six or seven phone calls Thursday, but somebody at Braum's told Singley it was CEI.
