Crews Work To Clear Snow Covered Roads Across Northeastern Oklahoma

The City of Tulsa say street crews have been working in 12-hour shifts since midnight on Sunday.

State and city crews have been out all night plowing area highways.  The Oklahoma Department of Transportation says crews are applying sand and salt to bridges and highways as well.

ODOT says travel across northeastern Oklahoma was strongly discouraged, a message echoed by the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

The City of Tulsa say street crews have been working in 12-hour shifts since midnight on Sunday. As of midnight on Monday, crews have plowed over 5,800 arterial lane miles and used 3,900 tons of salt.

Once street crews are finished plowing Monday, officials say salt will continue to be applied to arterial streets.

Tulsa International Airport says since Monday morning, four departing flights were canceled and one was delayed.
