A couple escaped a house fire in southeast Oklahoma City, after their dogs woke them up early Tuesday morning.
According to the fire department, at about 3:30 a.m., crews responded to the fire at a house on Oaks Crossing Road near Stanley Draper Lake.
The fire chief said the fire started in a fire place. A husband and wife escaped after they heard their dogs barking.
Firefighters had to truck in water because of a lack of hydrants nearby.
The home was a total loss.
