Authorities have arrested a man who they say attempted to rob a Midwest City bank on Thursday, February 27.

According to police, a man walked into the IBC Bank, located at 414 N. Air Depot in Midwest City, and gave the bank teller a check that said, "You know what to do or we all die. I will shoot you first. $500, $100, $50, $20, $10."

No weapon was ever seen, and the man left the bank without obtaining any money, according to police.

On February 28, police say 30-year-old Christopher Brent Fulton confessed to the crime at the Oklahoma City FBI office.

Fulton told officers that he saw the robbery suspect picture in the newspaper, and it looked like him. He said he thought it was his body in the bank, but not his mind. Because he had been up for four days and using methamphetamine, according to police.

Fulton said he attempted to rob the bank so he could pay back the debt his friend owed for two ounces of meth.

Fulton was booked into the Midwest City Jail on one count of first-degree robbery.
