If you're searching for a high paying, cutting-edge job, then Broken Arrow may be the place for you. L-3 Communications announced it is adding 60 new jobs in the city as part of the state's Quality Jobs Program.

The Quality Jobs Program is a cash-back job creation incentive for businesses to expand in Oklahoma. That's how L-3 Communications plans to bring the engineering jobs to Broken Arrow over the next two to three years.

Broken Arrow is the fourth largest city in the state, and soon it will have 60 new high paying jobs.

"A lot of us have been working hard to create the right climate, so L-3 would want to expand their jobs," said Governor Mary Fallin.

L-3 is an aerospace company that makes supplies for the US military and some of its allies. It currently employs 130 people in Broken Arrow.

"Broken Arrow is just a great place to do business. It's a great place to live. It's an outstanding community, so it's not surprising they would choose to expand these jobs in our state, and they're good paying jobs," Fallin said.

L-3's president said Broken Arrow is the perfect place because it has a very stable workforce and is becoming a top competitor in the state for manufacturing and engineering jobs.

Broken Arrow Chamber CEO, Wes Smithwick, said, "We're very pleased that they've chosen to continue to grow here and work with us and provide employment, good employment, good high paying jobs for not just Broken Arrow, but people all over the Tulsa metro."

Before the Chamber of Commerce and L-3 staff, the Governor explained job growth is a top priority and what makes these positions different are they will pay an average of $60,000 per year.

"These are good paying jobs. These are high quality, what I call, cutting edge, technology, world class jobs," Fallin said.

L-3 will have to add 15,000 square feet to its building to support the new staff, which means more construction jobs in Broken Arrow.

L-3's president said he is looking to fill these positions immediately. If you're interested, you can apply here.
