Suspect In Village Break-Ins May Be Connected To Other Crimes

New details Thursday night involving a suspected serial burglar who was on Sunday breaking into a metro home with a family inside. News 9 has learned the same guy is being investigated by three other police departments for similar crimes.

Oklahoma City police say 18-year-old Cornelius Frazier's crime spree started here when he asked a guy for a ride home in the snow, then stole the SUV when the man stopped to get coffee. Investigators believe Frazier drove to northeast OKC after stealing a vehicle and broke into Jo Reed's house.

The burglar stole Reed's TV and electronics, and tore up the house in the process.

From there, police say he drove to Britton and the Broadway Extension to break into this home. They say Frazier stole TVs, electronics and gaming consoles. Then, the 18-year-old reportedly went door-to-door in The Village, breaking into homes and stealing TVs. Mustafa Hamidi caught Frazier in the act.

Hamidi says Frazier took off in an SUV, but crashed and then hid in a trashcan, where police found him. They say the SUV was the one Frazier stole and numerous TVs were found inside. He currently has a pending burglary case and charges from a high speed chase last year on top of these latest accusations.

News 9 has learned that Bethany and Del City police are also investigating Frazier for crimes. As of Thursday night, Frazier is in the Oklahoma County jail on $362,000 bond. More charges are expected Friday.
