A one day winter event is headed our way for your Saturday. Travel problems will be most likely in north and northwestern Oklahoma. Roads will stay mostly wet along and south of I-40, but slick spots are not out of the question.

A cold rain will begin early Saturday morning and will transition to a winter mix of sleet and snow during the mid morning hours. Snow totals will be on the light side, with only a dusting expect along I-44, including the Oklahoma City metro.

Most of northwest Oklahoma will see one to two inches with some localized areas seeing closer to three inches. Temperatures will stay in the lower 30s most of the afternoon Saturday, so slick and slushy roads are possible, but no major travel problems are expected. Rain totals should range from just a trace to a few tenths of an inch.

Stay tuned for the latest updates.
