Police Investigate Stabbing Near University Of Tulsa

Tulsa police are investigating a weekend stabbing that occurred near the University of Tulsa.

The victim told police a group of TU students were at a residence in the 3000 block of East Fourth Street when two girls got into a fight.

TPD Sgt. Kurt Dodd said the victim claims he tried to break up the fight, and 10 to 12 guys jumped him, beat him up and stabbed him numerous times.

The victim's present condition is unknown, according to Dodd, but he is able to talk to police.

Detectives still are investigating.
