Eight Oklahoma and Oklahoma State players earned All-Big 12 accolades, announced by the league office on Sunday.

OU's Buddy Hield and Cameron Clark and OSU's Marcus Smart and Markel Brown warranted All-Big 12 selections, while OSU forward Le'Bryan Nash and OU forward Ryan Spangler were named honorable mention. OSU sophomore Phil Forte and OU senior Tyler Neal shared co-Big 12 sixth man of the year honors.

OSU's Smart led the pack with first-team honors for the second-consecutive season, becoming the second Cowboy ever to earn back-to-back first-team recognition. John Lucas achieved the feat in 2004 and '05. The sophomore guard was also named to the league's all-defensive team.

Iowa State's Melvin Ejim was named the Big 12 Player of the Year, KU's Andrew Wiggins was the Freshman of the Year, ISU's DeAndre Kane was Newcomer of the Year and Texas coach Rick Barnes was the league's Coach of the Year.
