The Bison (22-0, 6-0 SAC) registered 26 hits in the first game of the doubleheader, both seven inning contests.

Vela finished 3-for-4 with 5 RBI and 2 runs scored after two doubles and a triple in the first game.

After allowing five runs in the top of the third, the Bison answered with five of their own in the home half of the inning.
