TULSA, Oklahoma -

The Tulsa Police Department and the Oklahoma Highway Patrol investigated at least four crashes late Monday and early Tuesday.

One of the crashes involved two vehicles on 73rd East Avenue near 12th Street at about 10:30 p.m.

Tulsa Police said the driver of a northbound Pontiac came up behind a Dodge Durango which had slowed to turn left.

Officers said the Pontiac clipped the rear of the Durango then went off the road and rolled four times coming to rest on its top.

EMSA took the driver to the hospital. Police Captain Wendell Franklin says he suspects alcohol played a part in the crash.

At 1:45 a.m., an SUV exiting the Broken Arrow Expressway to go south on Memorial hit a wall and rolled onto its side. The driver and passenger were taken to the hospital.

Fifteen minutes later, a car westbound on I-44 near 33rd West Avenue hit a wall. EMSA took the driver to the hospital with what troopers said were minor injuries.

Twenty minutes after that, a street cleaner operator found an SUV on its side just off southbound Highway 75 near I-44, according to the OHP.

Tulsa Police believe the SUV's driver had been involved in a hit and run crash at 5th and Denver in downtown Tulsa just before he crashed on 75.

Emily Burger and Bryan Foster told News On 6 the SUV rear-ended their Chevy Malibu. They say the driver told them he had had too much to drink, then drove off.

A few minutes later, a man in a BMW drove up and told them the SUV that had hit them had crashed. He said he had followed it onto the highway and saw it wreck. He gave them the SUV's tag number, told them he didn't want to give his name and drove away.
