Police Investigate Possible Drowning In Grady Co.

Grady County Sheriff's Office investigated a possible drowning in the Bridge Creek community Tuesday afternoon. 

Police responded to the scene on County Road 1270 in Blanchard. 

According to officials, witnesses called 911 after seeing a person riding a horse in a pond.

The witnesses said they saw the horse and rider go underwater in the pond, but the horse came up and the person did not.

Police said dive teams searched the area and recovered a body.

Further investigation showed this was an accident caused by the horse slipping.

The victim's identity has not been released at this time.
