TULSA COUNTY, Oklahoma -

The City of Tulsa demolished another rec center Wednesday. The Springdale Center was torn down in the morning.

It's been closed since 2001.

The City has taken down five rec centers in the last couple of years, and plans to tear down three more; the ones at Maxwell, Clark, and Franklin parks.

The plan is to replace the run-down buildings with low maintenance equipment that doesn't require any labor to operate.
