STILLWATER, Oklahoma -

An Oklahoma State University student was struck and killed by a suspected drunk driver while on spring break in Alabama.

Kasey Waychoff died Friday morning at an Alabama hospital from injuries she sustained in the crash.

OSU released the following statement regarding this tragedy:

"Oklahoma State University is saddened by the tragic death of one of our students. The sophomore from Flower Mound, Texas, was in Gulf Shores, Alabama, at the time of her death. The thoughts of the entire OSU community go out to her family and friends."
