An early morning house fire turns deadly in Guthrie, claiming the life of a teenage boy, Saturday.

Terick Jackson, 15, was apparently trapped on the second floor of his family's home when it caught on fire. The boy did not survive. Firefighters have not released a cause for the fire by Saturday evening.

In the driveway, a small statue of a praying angel sat. It was a makeshift memorial to Jackson.

"He was the most amazing young man," said close family friend Dawn Marsee. "He was the kind of kid that would help anybody, anywhere, anytime. Just full of life."

Jackson's mother and younger brother were able to get out of the house. A neighbor and several Guthrie Police officers were on the scene within minutes. They did not hesitate to run into the burning house to try and save the trapped boy.

Terick Jackson's family said he loved being a part of S.C.A., which is a group that recreates and celebrates Medieval times. Support for the Jackson family was coming in from all over the country and as far away as Europe.

Marsee is also a member of the group. She was with Jackson's family Saturday afternoon at a friend's house when she spoke with News 9.

"I've been told already that there's going to be several events held in his honor to remember him and to raise money for the family," said Marsee.

While investigators work to determine the exact cause of the fire, family and friends try to understand the tragic loss of Terick Jackson.

"Three words that we've been saying a lot to each other today is 'I love you.' To not ever forget. To look at the people you love and tell them every day you love them and to treasure the moments you have and that's how they're getting through with the love of friends and family," Marsee said.

The Jacksons are staying with friends in Oklahoma City, their house is a total loss.

A PayPal fund has been set up for the Jackson family to help with funeral costs. Donations can be at to hotclady@hotmail.com on the PayPal website.
