A new danger related to e-cigarettes is being felt all over Oklahoma. It's related to the liquid form of nicotine e-cigarettes use.
Oklahoma Poison Center Director Scott Schaffer said the liquid nicotine people buy in refill bottles at vape stores can be very dangerous.

He said in the past year, his call center has received 27 calls from people who were exposed to liquid nicotine. Twenty-four of those cases involved young children.
Schaffer said ingesting less than half a teaspoon of liquid nicotine can be fatal for children. He said the colorful bottles it comes in is attractive to kids.
"The nicotine solution in vaping devices has helped a lot of people get off tobacco and cigarettes and so forth," said Schaffer. "The problem is when the liquid is not stored appropriately."
