An Oklahoma City doctor faces charges involving sex crimes involving two of his patients.

Dr. John Fuller, 60, who specializes in pain management, faces one count of sexual battery and one count of rape by instrumentation.

According to a probable cause affidavit, Fuller sexually assaulted one of his patients in July of 2013 when he allegedly put his hand down her shorts and touched her inappropriately during an exam when she was there for pain management only.

The second incident, rape by instrumentation, occurred in December 2011, when court papers state Fuller allegedly inserted his fingers inside a patient's vagina during an exam the patient did not request or want.

Fuller has not been arrested yet.

Brown & Gould, PLLC, the law firm representing one of Dr. Fuller's alleged victims, released this statement Wednesday afternoon:

"Our firm has been retained by one of the victims of Dr. Fuller. As set forth in our petition, Dr. Fuller took advantage of his position as our client's physician and quite simply, crossed the line from authorized, consensual touching for medical purposes to improper, sexual assault and battery. To be clear, our case is a civil case and not a criminal case. The criminal case is prosecuted by the District Attorney. In contrast, our case seeks civil damages from Dr. Fuller and states causes of action against him for civil assault and battery and the tort of outrage. Our client seeks compensatory damages, damages for emotional distress, anxiety and physical pain and anguish. In addition, our client seeks civil, punitive damages against Dr. Fuller designed to punish him civilly for his improper conduct.

Although the civil case seeks money damages, the primary reason for our client coming forward and disclosing this very private, embarrassing, and emotional subject was and is to ensure that Dr. Fuller's reprehensible conduct is stopped. In addition, our client hopes that her coming forward will give others the courage to come forward and disclose Dr. Fuller's wrongful conduct."
