RIDGWAY, Colorado -

The search is over for the bodies of five victims after a plane that stopped over in Bartlesville before crashing in Colorado, but the investigation continues.

Authorities have identified the victims as two adults and three children, all of Gadsden, Alabama. Jimmy Hill, 48; Katrina Barksdale, 40; Xander Barksdale, 8; Kobe Barksdale, 11; and Seth McDuffie, 14, were killed when their plane went down Saturday, March 22, 2014.

Two of the boys were Katrina Barksdale's sons and the third her nephew.

"The Coroner has maintained close communications with the victims' family members throughout this tragic situation," said Marti Whitmore, Ouray County attorney.

The National Transportation Safety Board and Federal Aviation Administration is now in charge of the investigation into the crash.

The plane left the Northeast Alabama Regional Airport in Gadsden at 8:30 a.m. that day, stopped in Bartlesville at 12:12 p.m. then crashed at Ridgway State Park in a reservoir just before 2 p.m. It was bound for Montrose, Colorado.

The plane wreckage has also been recovered and is being transported for further investigation, according to The Watch newspaper.
