After more than two decades, a woman who denies involvement in the deaths of two women and a child is in jail on three counts of first-degree murder.

Investigators believe she didn't think this day would come. Just a year ago, Beverly Noe denied any involvement in the murders. The remains of Wendy Camp, her 6-year-old daughter Cynthia Britto, and Wendy's sister-in-law Lisa Kraeger were found buried on property that once belonged to Beverly's brother.

"On video tape she said, ‘Prove it. Prove it,'" said OSBI spokesperson, Jessica Brown. "We believe we can prove it."

The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigations says even though the bodies were discovered last year, it took the Medical Examiner's office nearly a year to identify the skeletal remains and to determine the three were murdered. It also took a year to collect enough evidence to arrest and charge Noe with three counts of first-degree murder.

"So there was means, motive, and opportunity. We believe Beverly fits every one of those," said Brown.

"Oh, it's like having a world of weight lifted off of me," said Jackie Taylor.

Taylor says her daughter Wendy and granddaughter Cynthia, along with their friend Lisa disappeared May 29, 1992 after Noe picked them up for a court appointment. Wendy and Beverly Noe's son were in the middle of a custody battle over their son.

"She got visitation with him every other weekend, and for her to come to my house, and pick up my grandson, knowing that she had murdered his mother and sister, it's like opening me up and pouring salt on an open wound," said Taylor.

According to court documents, Noe's ex-husband contacted investigators saying Beverly threatened to kill Wendy if they lost custody.

"They were all taped together and tied together. All three of them," said Taylor. "All because of the custody battle."

"It was not me, and if it was my mother, I don't know. She's dead," said Beverly Noe.

In an interview last year with Tulsa's News on 6, Beverly claimed the trio was dropped off at a Cushing Wal-Mart after the court visit and then disappeared.

"If we had investigated and found out a lot of things that we know now, then this would have probably never happened," said Taylor.

Jackie Taylor says she's looking forward to more arrests in this case.
