The countdown is on for uninsured Americans to sign up for health care under the Affordable Care Act, or Obamacare. If you still haven't signed up, Monday at midnight is the deadline.

The Obama administration says interest surged over the weekend, with two million visits to HealthCare.gov , and more than 200,000 calls.

In Florida, people lined up this weekend waiting to talk face to face with someone who could help them.

"A lot of these people have never had insurance before, so they're unfamiliar with the terms," said Odalys Arevalo of Sunshine Life & Health Advisors.

President Obama announced last week more than six million people have signed up so far. The White House calls it a major accomplishment.

Meanwhile, there are penalties for those without insurance. They face a $95 fee or one percent of their income, whichever is greater.

The deadline to enroll is Monday at midnight. However, if you've already started the enrollment process, you can take advantage of the sign up extension.

You can call 1-800-318-2596 if you have questions. You can also dial 211 from your landline or cell phone to speak to someone locally.

Director of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Kathleen Sebelius, spoke with News 9 This Morning's Stan Miller to answer questions about the health care law. Watch the video above for the complete interview.
