Retired Tulsa teacher Ingrid Armstrong wasn't shopping for herself, she was researching plans for her uninsured daughter, but she ended up finding a better plan for herself and her daughter.

"Until I was showed, I had no idea," Armstrong said.

The plan she found saves her $150 a month. Those savings can buy her daughter insurance.

"So it'll give me a little bit of peace of mind," Armstrong said.

"She can get a great marketplace plan for under $100 a month. Much more comprehensive coverage saving her over $150 a month. She was ecstatic," Orban said.

She's been doing this since day one of the Affordable Care Act. On the day of the enrollment deadline, glitches meant she could advise, but not enroll.

"It is what it is," Orban said. "We'll get it done."

Armstrong and her daughter were not enrolled, but have until the extended deadline, April 15th, to complete the process.

"Yeah, I'm real happy. I'm surprised. I'm shocked," Armstrong said.

You can still begin the enrollment process by putting your email address in. If you do that you have until April 15th to finish your enrollment.

There are penalties if you have the means to get insurance but don't.
