The National Weather Service issued a tornado watch for much of eastern Oklahoma on Thursday another round storms started to develop across the area.

Counties included in the watch include were Adair, Cherokee, Haskell, Hughes, Latimer, LeFlore, McIntosh, Muskogee, Okmulgee, Pittsburg, Sequoyah and Wagoner in Oklahoma and Benton, Sebastian and Washington counties in western Arkansas.

The News On 6 WARN Team says large hail and damaging winds will be the main threat, but there is a slight chance thunderstorms could produce tornadoes in far eastern Oklahoma Thursday afternoon and evening.

There also is a flash flood warning in effect for McIntosh and Muskogee counties.

The NWS says low humidities and strong winds will allow any fires to quickly spread out of control.
