A heartbroken father is sharing the pain of losing his son. Police say the 1-year old boy was beaten to death at his home in Alaska last month. Now, the Seminole father is trying desperately to bring his other two children back to Oklahoma.

Brian Dockery says he and the mother of his three children have had the rockiest relationship. They all moved to Alaska over a year ago to be near her family, but he says a big fight forced him back to Oklahoma last June, and he left his kids there under their mother's care.

"I can't believe that an adult could be so vicious to a child so innocent and so sweet," Dockery said. "Why was he trusted in a home with my children?"

Dockery says he's hurting and stunned that his 23-month-old son, Ezekiel Bear Dockery, was beaten to death in his Alaska home. His 2nd birthday would've been April 18. His family held a memorial service in the Swearingen funeral home in Seminole last Monday, where they showed countless pictures of Ezekiel's smiling face.

"Ezekiel was a beautiful, pure, innocent spirit," said the toddler's aunt Natasha Parks. "We were robbed of his life. The suffering is unspeakable and we're utterly devastated."

It was on March 21, when Ezekiel stopped breathing and police were called out to his home in Wasilla, Alaska, where he lived with his 4-year-old twin sisters, their mother and her boyfriend, who said Ezekiel slipped trying to get into the tub.

But the medical examiner's office says the toddler's injuries were not consistent with a fall. His body had several cuts, broken ribs and bruises on both lungs.

"His heart literally bursted. I mean, no 23-month old child should have to go through that," Dockery said.

On Friday, Wasilla Police arrested the mom's 40-year-old boyfriend, Jyzyk Sharpe, for the child's death. Now Brian wants his other two children with him in Oklahoma.

"I think they've endured enough. I'm ready for them to come home. Their home is here with me and my family," he said. "And I'm not going to stop until I get my girls."

Sharpe is due in court for a hearing on April 14.

"The biggest fight of our lives, it's too late for Ezekiel, but it's not too late for Ava and Veloria," Parks said. "We love them dearly, and we need justice for Ezekiel, we need our Dockery girls brought home to Oklahoma."

The family says Ezekiel's body is in a holding room in Alaska and cannot be buried until around June, when the frozen ground thaws out. They hope to bring the body to Oklahoma and have the toddler buried in Seminole.

The family has an account set up at BancFirst under Ezekiel Dockery's name to pay for legal expenses to help bring his sisters to Oklahoma.
