OKLAHOMA CITY -

An Oklahoma City man was arrested after police said he attacked his girlfriend with a bullwhip and threatened to kill her.

The victim told police that on Thursday, March 27, 21-year-old Craig Anderson Perry became angry with her when she asked him to come pick her up at their child's daycare center. When she got into the car, the victim said Perry began hitting her in the head with a bullwhip and punched her several times.

During the assault, Perry reportedly told the victim that he was going to "duct-tape her and throw her into the river." He also said he was going to "cut her body up in the bathtub."

Perry eventually drove back to the daycare center. That's when the victim ran inside for help. An employee at the daycare center called 911 and locked the door, but Perry broke the lock and dragged the victim outside.

The victim was able to fight him off. Perry left the scene following the assault. He was arrested and booked into the Oklahoma County Jail on Friday, April 4.

Perry now faces charges of domestic assault with a dangerous weapon, threatening to do an act of violence, kidnapping, and first degree burglary.
