News 9 Returns to Orr Family Farm Weather Round Up

News 9's Road Trip presented by Oklahoma City Community College is so excited for our May event at the Orr Family Farm's Weather Round Up day!

We hope you will join us on Saturday, May 3rd from 10:00am to 3:00pm for this second-annual event that is an awesome family event!

Visit some of your favorite News 9 anchors, meteorologists and storm trackers at the outdoor booth and be sure to check out the Storm Tracker 9 vehicles and you can even see pilot Jim Gardner and Bob Mills SkyNews 9!

The weather round-up event is a great way for everyone to learn about severe weather safety in a fun and educational way. Activities planned for the day include craft projects, face painting and plenty of hands-on activities for children and adults from the National Weather Service.

Orr Family Farm is offering free admission for Moore Public Schools teachers and students. To receive the free admission, students must bring the event flyer, available at their school, and teachers must show proper Moore Public Schools identification.

"As we approach the one year anniversary of the May 20 tornado, we want to do our part in promoting severe weather safety and educating children on the importance of being prepared and not scared when there is a threat of severe weather," said Dr. Glenn Orr, managing member of the Orr Family Farm. "Through Weather Round Up Day, visitors will be able to learn about weather safety, plus take part in fun activities for the whole family."

Other springtime activities will be available in addition to Weather Round Up events including train rides, petting and feeding barnyard animals, pony rides, the giant jumping pillows and more.
