Oral Roberts took No. 19 Texas Tech to 12 innings on Tuesday night at J.L. Johnson Stadium, but the Red Raiders plated three runs in the 12th for a 4-1 victory over the Golden Eagles.

The loss was ORU's first in five games against a Big 12 member school to move its overall season record to 23-21, and the Red Raiders improved to 36-13 and completed a four-game sweep of the Golden Eagles.

Logan Domenico and Tyler Boss each went 3-4 at the plate, with Boss earning a double, while Anthony Sequeira followed his five hit performance on Sunday with two hits against the Red Raiders.

Earning a quality start on the mound for the Golden Eagles was Kurt Giller. In what could be his final start at home in an ORU uniform, the senior pitched seven innings, allowing a run on just four hits. Tuesday's appearance tied his longest outing of the season.

Despite pitching well in 2.2 innings of work, Jacob McDavid (1-1) took the loss for the Golden Eagles.

Texas Tech had six combined hits from three different Red Raidres, including four extra base hits in the game. Adam Kirsh led the Red Raiders with three doubles, Tyler Neslony had a triple and a single and Bryan Burleson rounded out the visitors six hits with a single in the fourth. ORU outhit the Red Raiders, 10-6.

Domenic Moreno (4-5) earned the victory as he allowed just three hits and struck out four batters in the final 2.2 innings of the contest.

After three quick innings by Giller and Tech starting pitcher Corey Taylor, the Red Raiders struck first in the top of the fourth on Kirsh's first double of the game down the left field line to score Burleson from second to make it 1-0.

In the home half of the sixth, ORU capitalized on Red Raider mistakes to knot the game at one run apiece. After getting hit by a pitch to start the inning, Emmanuel Forcier tied the game, scoring from second thanks to a throwing error on a double play attempt.

Following a Kirsch double to start the seventh, the Golden Eagle pitching staff retired 15 Red Raider batters.

ORU had a chance to win in the 11th as Boss led the inning off with a double. A sacrifice bunt and back-to-back strikeouts ended the threat, leaving Boss on third and the Red Raiders broke the game open in the top of the 12th.

Neslony start the inning with a triple off the wall in the right center, and was replaced by Zach Davis who entered the run and scored on a wild pitch to give the Red Raiders a 2-1 lead.

Kirsch followed the wild pitch with a double to right center to bring home Gutierrez, and later scored on a sacrifice fly off the bat of Alec Humphreys for the final 4-1 output.

The game ended with runners on the corners for the Golden Eagles following singles by Sequeira and Domenico.

ORU looks to get back on track with a Southland Conference series victory as the Golden Eagles travel to Conway, Ark., for a three-game set with Central Arkansas. Game one is scheduled for 6 p.m. on Friday.
