He's wanted for breaking into more than a dozen homes, including one home that belonged to a Thunder basketball player. Now, both Edmond and OKC police want Taron Stevenson back behind bars.

As it turns out, Stevenson was pulled over and arrested in Clinton, but he bonded out before metro detectives could track him down and detain him.

A search warrant states they managed to get a hold of his impounded car and found a piece of evidence they needed to link him to the crime.

News 9 first brought you this story last week, when several Edmond homeowners called to report break-ins at their homes. Some even had muddy shoe prints of where someone had kicked in their back door. One Edmond woman came face to face with him right outside her back patio.

"He was a younger guy, a teenager I would say," said the woman, who does not want to be identified. "I kind of banged on the window to get off my deck."

Little did she know that same guy was wanted for breaking into Thunder player Andre Roberson's OKC home too and took a Thunder Bag and Xbox that belonged to him.

Edmond police released these surveillance photos that were caught on one neighbor's surveillance camera and calls started pouring in, identifying him as 18-year-old Taron William Stevenson.

His mug shot was obtained after he was booked into the Custer County Jail in Clinton on April 23 for speeding, drug possession and other traffic related complaints.

According to the arrest warrant filed April 29, when Edmond Police searched Stevenson's impounded car, they found a backpack with the Thunder Logo and an Andre Roberson's baggage claim check. They also found a pair of red Nike tennis shoes with a waffle pattern sole that match the shoes worn by the suspected thief when he kicked in the doors.

And while those things have been found, Stevenson is yet to be found. So if you know where he is, call police.
