An elderly Oklahoma City man was behind bars late Monday on complaints of exposing himself to children and threatening a man with a knife. Officers were called to the 3200 block of SW 48th Street around 6:30 p.m. Saturday.
Police say the suspect, 71-year-old Earnest Lee Robertson, was standing in the middle of his street naked holding a meat cleaver.
"He's been outside in his underwear many times, but this time he went too far," neighbor LuAnn Kelley said. "He came out of the house without any clothes on with a meat cleaver, and he was chasing a guy in a car."
Kelley lives across the street from Robertson. She says Robertson has caused trouble before, including fighting women at his home.
"I've seen him beat up on them," said Kelley. "I've seen them beat up on him."
Police say Robertson was yelling at someone in a parked car near his front yard and confronted a driver with a meat cleaver. No one was injured, according to Sgt. Jennifer Wardlow. Records show Robertson was arrested in September of 2013 for public intoxication.
According to a police report, Robertson faces complaints of assault with a deadly weapon and indecent exposure.
