TULSA, Oklahoma -

A family is upset after discovering their handicap accessible van was stolen from a Tulsa hospital parking garage Tuesday.

Jeanne Parks said her brother Jeff had been staying at Hillcrest Medical Center with their brother Joe, who is a quadriplegic. She said when Jeff went to the parking garage Tuesday morning their handicap accessible van was missing.

"It just makes me sick. He's been in here fighting for his life off and on for 39 years, and this is his only way to leave this hospital, he can't even leave this hospital without this van, or an ambulance to take him home, he's not able. With this van he can actually drive, even though he's a quadriplegic." Parks said.

She said the van was taken from the third floor in the parking garage. She said security cameras show it was taken around 9:30 a.m.

Parks described the van as, "A 1994 Chevrolet full-sized handicapped accessible van with hydraulic wheelchair lift. Tag number 761-AQP. It's pewter gray in color, with one dent in the back door."

The security footage of the theft has not been released.

This is not the first handicap accessible van that has been taken from the Hillcrest Medical Center's parking garage this month.

On May 1, 2014 a Pawnee County couple discovered their wheelchair-accessible van was stolen.
