By Alan Broerse, News 9 Weather

OKLAHOMA CITY -- Your Friday News 9 forecast is a great one. It's mild this morning with 50s and 60s, under partly cloudy skies. Later Friday, we stay partly cloudy and warm with low 80s for the afternoon high.

A cool front moved into the state earlier on Friday and will provide a pleasant north wind 5-15mph. The north winds will keep the humidity down giving us a fantastic afternoon.

Friday night, it's warm early with overnight lows in the mid-60s. Saturday will be much warmer as we approach 94 degrees and the return of southerly winds. A slight chance for thunderstorms will be in the forecast for late day Saturday.

Sunday will be much like Saturday, hot with strong south winds, and a slight chance for thunderstorms late Sunday afternoon.

Don't change your plans due to the storm chances, just stay weather aware.
