Most of the state will stay hot, muggy, and VERY windy this afternoon. OKC: our rain chances come after dark.

We'll be watching the threat in western Oklahoma later this afternoon and evening (after 4 PM) for severe thunderstorms. There's no guarantee we'll have storms, but IF they do develop, they'll likely be severe and pose a threat for large hail, damaging wind, and tornadoes. The tornado threat is low, but it's present.

Once the cold front starts moving through the state tonight, rain chances go up for the entire state. Our best chances for rain here in OKC will come overnight into Monday morning. These storms will be strong, and a few may be severe, posing a hail/wind threat and potentially a flash flooding threat as well.

Rain chances then stay low through the rest of the week until Friday/Saturday as our next storm system arrives.
