An Oologah man charged with leading Bartlesville Police officers on a chase after running out of the Washington County courthouse last year waived his jury trial and will be sentenced next month.

Court records show William Pierce III entered a blind plea to multiple charges including endangering others while eluding officers, running a roadblock, assault and battery on an officer, obstructing an officer and failure to carry insurance.

Police said Pierce was in court in November 2013 to be sentenced in a criminal case when he ran out of the courtroom and drove away in his girlfriend's car. Police arrested him after a high-speed chase.
