The United States Geological Survey reported a 3.2 magnitude earthquake near Payne County Tuesday afternoon.
The quake was recorded at 4:39 p.m. Tuesday, eight miles northeast of Stillwater, 34 miles northeast of Guthrie, at a depth of just over three miles.
There are no reports of major injury or damage at this time.
According to the USGS, earthquakes with magnitudes ranging from 2.5 to 3.0 are generally the smallest ones felt by humans. Damage is more likely from quakes at a 4.0 magnitude and higher.
