Vacant Tulsa Home Heavily Damaged By Arson

A vacant Tulsa home suffered extensive fire damage late Thursday. Firefighters got the alarm in the 1500 block of North Atlanta Court at about 10:30 p.m.

When they arrived, firefighters learned the fire was actually in a home in the 1500 block of North Birmingham.

Neighbors told firefighters they noticed the fire then saw two people running from the home.

Tulsa Fire District Chief Bennie Herring believes a squatter probably started the fire. He says firefighters found no one inside.

Herring says the fire destroyed at least half of the home.
