OHP Arrests Driver On DUI Complaint After Tulsa Highway Crash

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol arrested a woman after she crashed her SUV into a guardrail on I-244 early Tuesday.

The OHP said the eastbound SUV hit the guardrail while exiting onto Highway 169 at 1:15 a.m.

The OHP identified the driver as Carla Williams, 42, of Owasso.

In his report the trooper said he could smell the odor of an alcoholic beverage when he spoke to Williams and that she was having trouble standing and her words were "very slurred."  

Troopers said Williams was the only person in the SUV and no other vehicles were involved.

The trooper booked her into the Tulsa County Jail on a DUI complaint.
