A slow moving storm is still headed for Oklahoma and the rain chances are still looking good.
Rain chances will go up in western Oklahoma Thursday and Friday. Wednesday night a few showers and storms will be possible in the panhandle and in far northwest Oklahoma. Lows will drop into the upper 60s with partly cloudy skies and a strong south wind.
Thursday rain chances increase in western Oklahoma with a few strong storms possible. The severe threat will be low with some hail and gusty winds possible. Highs on Thursday will once again climb into the upper 80s and low 90s with a strong south wind at 20 to 30 mph.
As the mid-level low moves further east, rain chances will increase for central Oklahoma. Friday, a few showers and storms possible, but again, the severe threat will be very low.
More widespread heavy rain is still on the way for the weekend especially into Monday. Rainfall totals could reach 1 to 2 inches with higher amounts in localized areas.
Remember, it won't rain all day Saturday, Sunday, and Monday, but scattered showers should be expected.
Stay tuned for the very latest.
