A special Memorial Day ceremony will be held around the clock rain or shine this weekend in Broken Arrow. That's when a group of 12 cadets will re-enact the changing of the guard at the Tomb of the Unknowns.

The re-enactment begins at 9 a.m. Saturday and will run through Monday at 5 p.m. every half hour during the day and every hour at night at Floral Haven.

There's a full replica of the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier at the cemetery where more than 3,000 Oklahoma veterans are buried.

It's the only re-enactment of its kind in the United States, according to First Lieutenant Gary Sutherland of the Civil Air Patrol, Oklahoma Wing.

Cadets practice for the ceremony starting in January, Sutherland said.

"It truly gives you hope for the future seeing young men and women with such love for country and doing their part to never forget the men and women that pay the ultimate sacrifice to keep our country free," he said.
