WAGONER COUNTY, Oklahoma -

A young black bear has found his way up another tree Wagoner County. Three members of the Oklahoma Wildlife Department spent the day looking for him after the bear disappeared Thursday night.

Friday, the bear was not far from where he was Thursday, in a backyard outside Coweta. A couple found him while they were drinking their morning coffee.

Wildlife officers couldn't lure him down with sardines and donuts, but the bear climbed down the tree on his own Thursday night around 11:00, but disappeared into the woods.

It wasn't until Friday afternoon that crews spotted him again near 227th East Avenue and 91st Street in Broken Arrow.

Wildlife officials say they're not worried about him being aggressive.

"He didn't like us standing there, and they pop their jaws and huff at you and he ran back up the tree, but other than that, just because we were causing him to do that, so, typically they're not aggressive," said Craig Endicott with the Oklahoma Department of Wildlife.

Officials were able to use a tranquilizer dart on the bear, but he got hung up in the tree. Broken Arrow firefighters are on the scene with a ladder truck to get him down.

Once the bear is down, the Wildlife Department will relocate the bear to public lands in Eastern Oklahoma.
