OKC Energy FC played its second of back-to-back matches Saturday evening and drew with the Charlotte Eagles, 1-1.

Charlotte controlled the ball early in the first half, but it was Energy FC that came away with the lead after the first 45 minutes of play. Peabo Doue registered Energy FC's first shot on the goal, but it was a bouncing all that resulted in a goal. After ping-ponging around and hitting off the post and several players, Steven Perry scored his third goal of the season in the 33rd minute off the rebound.

Charlotte got the equalizer early in the second half as Wells Thompson got the ball just past Samir Badr to even the score at 1-1 in the 48th minute. Energy FC had a quality chance in the 52nd minute as Paul Wyatt fed Pete Caringi at the top of the six-yard box but Caringi's attempt went over the crossbar.

Charlotte out-shot Energy FC 16-6 for the match as the Eagles moved to 3-7-1 on the year, while Energy went to 3-7-2.

Energy FC returns to action on Saturday, June 14 against Sacramento Republic SC.
