Shock Continues To Roll, Sweeps Four-Game Homestand

TULSA, Oklahoma -

It really has been home, sweet home for the Tulsa Shock over the past nine days.

The Shock completed a four-game homestand on Sunday and did so in comeback fashion, rallying in the fourth quarter to defeat the Seattle Storm, 85-79.

Tulsa won all four games in the homestand and now stands just a game under .500 after losing the first five game of the season. The Shock played four of those games on the road, and the one game that took place at the BOK Center was a one-point loss to defending champion Minnesota.

The four straight wins are a franchise-record since the Shock relocated to Tulsa from Detroit.

Skylar Diggins continued her impressive play of late with a career-high 26 points, shooting 7-of-15 from the field and 10-of-11 from the free throw line. Courtney Paris had 16 points and 12 rebounds and Glory Johnson had 12 points and 13 rebounds.

Paris and Johnson helped the Shock hold a 36-23 edge on the boards, as well as a 14-5 edge in offensive rebounds. The pair combined for 12 of those offensive boards, each grabbing six to help the Shock take 11 more shots than Seattle.

Rookie Odyssey Sims chipped in 15 points, but continued to struggle from the field, much like Diggins did a year ago. Sims was just 4-of-16 from the field on Sunday.

Tanisha Wright scored 24 points to lead the Storm. Sue Bird added 12 and Shekinna Stricklen had 11 for Seattle.

Wright's 3-pointer with 9:22 remaining gave Seattle a 62-60 lead, a lead it extended to as many as seven points. After two free throws from Wright with 3:29 remaining, the Shock went on a 9-0 run to take the lead 83-77 with 1:58 remaining in the fourth quarter.

The Shock will need the new-found confidence gained at home to continue its impressive play of late. Tulsa starts a four-game road trip on Thursday when it travels to Los Angeles to take on the Sparks. The Shock will return home to take on those same Sparks on June 28.
