BROKEN ARROW, Oklahoma -

Broken Arrow police say a man who attempted to rob a Walmart committed suicide in front of two people last night.

They say a man with a gun tried to rob the store near 71st Street and the Creek Turnpike, but he didn't get money.

Witnesses saw him leave on a motorcycle.

Police found the motorcycle in a nearby wooded area and saw a truck leaving.

They stopped the truck and were talking with the three people in it, when the man in the bed of the truck stood up with gun to his head.

Police say after a few words, the man shot himself.

The people in the cab of the truck told officers they did not know the man, he had just asked them for a ride.
